Last weekend we had perfect weather both Saturday and
Sunday. On Saturday, Matt and Cade
rented a kayak for an hour while Paige and I searched for seashells for our
growing collection. Cade has been asking
to go kayaking for a while now. After
about 10 minutes, he put his paddle in the boat and just pointed to Matt where
he wanted to go, so he could enjoy the ride.
After schools lets out in December for the summer, many boys at his
school go to sailing camp. He is working
hard on swim lessons so he can go with his mates from school. He
asks a lot of questions about sharks while he is at the beach. There are actually several sharks around
here, mostly small. The beach near our
house is very kid friendly and has a large netted area around it, which keeps us calm. Plus, we really don’t go out that far.
On Sunday, we took the Cremorne Point walk all through
Neutral Bay, Cremorne and Mosman. It was
a hike, but fortunately it is mostly wide, paved walkways with some nice stops
along the way including a great park and a light house. There were beautiful views of the Bridge and
Opera house. It is a new favorite and
one we will do again soon.
